Northwest Indiana is a diverse region with many photographic opportunities. When I first began taking photos of Northwest Indiana, I was taking them because it was my home area and I enjoyed looking for photo opportunities. After a while, I found that I had collected many photos from many different areas including the downtown districts throughout Northwest Indiana. As various people came across my local NWI photos, they would ask me if they could license a photo to use for a website, or a marketing project. From then on, I decided to catalog every city in Northwest Indiana and create market ready shots and license them to those who needed a summer photo in the middle of winter, or an aerial photo that captures the location of the city relative to Chicago.

This truly has been a passion project for me because Northwest Indiana is known as such an industrial area, void of anything worth photographing. That is starkly the opposite, and I wanted to collect photos from each city to highlight the features and amenities available to residents, visitors, and tourists. I like to think of it as Northwest Indiana tourism through photography.

I'm particularly proud of several particular albums in my collection. My hometown of Hammond, Indiana always looked so industrial in Google Image search results and I wanted to change that. Hammond's album now looks like a mecca of entertainment and outdoor activities. Gary, Indiana is widely known for its urban decay, but less known for its Lake Michigan beaches, Marquette Park, and the Indiana Dunes National Park right on its doorstep.
